Co-ownership - buying holiday homes with others

NTV's ‘Startup Magazin’ accompanied MYNE in a report on ‘Co-Ownership - buying holiday homes pro rata’ and presented the innovative co-ownership model. Find out why co-owners have decided in favour of MYNE.

After many years of going on holiday on the Balearic island, Ulrich and Sabine fulfilled their dream of owning their own holiday home two years ago - and in a very special way: via the MYNE co-ownership model. They share a dream property right on the beach in Alcudia with seven other co-owners. Thanks to the innovative co-ownership model, they enjoy a total of six weeks a year in their dream apartment.

‘It feels like staying in a luxury hotel - you arrive and can immediately enjoy your suite for the duration of your stay,’ says Sabine. Ulrich adds: ‘You don't even realise that there are seven other co-owners involved.’

All-round carefree package for a carefree holiday

In addition to purchasing a share, MYNE offers its co-owners an all-round carefree package. The properties are sold fully equipped and furnished. A housekeeping service, similar to a hotel, ensures cleanliness, and personal storage facilities are available to owners while they are away. This allows the co-owners to start their holiday straight away without any preparations.

The concept is to sell luxury properties to up to eight people who share the costs. Entry prices start at around €99,000, with €50,000 required as equity.

Planning and booking made easy

‘You already have problems with property as such - legal and tax issues, administration, maintenance and the need for coordination. And that's exactly what we take away from the co-owners,’ says Nikolaus Thomale, founder of MYNE.

The co-owners plan their stays via the MYNE reservation app. A total of six weeks per year can be used flexibly throughout the year. The reservation system ensures a fair distribution of the desired times, especially for popular dates such as Christmas or Easter. A rotating system ensures that every co-owner has a chance to enjoy their stay even in the peak season.

Professional management and running costs

MYNE not only handles the booking and management of stays, but also the maintenance and upkeep of the properties. Repairs and renovations are organised by MYNE so that the co-owners have no additional work. A monthly fee is charged for these services.

In addition, individual consumption costs for energy and cleaning are incurred for each stay. Operating costs and reserves for maintenance are divided proportionately according to the number of shares purchased.

Attractive yield potential and rental options

MYNE holiday homes are in prime locations and are luxuriously furnished, which contributes to the stable performance of the properties. After a minimum holding period of one year, it is usually possible to sell the property at the market price, which offers attractive potential returns.

In addition, many properties can also be let. MYNE manages the letting and ensures that the rental income is distributed fairly to the co-owners. Co-owners who use their property less and thus free up more time for letting benefit from higher income.

The dream of owning your own holiday home - affordable and flexible

Thanks to MYNE, the co-owners' dream of owning their own holiday home with direct access to the beach has become affordable and flexible. Mallorca has now become a permanent second home for them - without the burdens and obligations of sole ownership.
